KMG Chemicals acquires electronic chemicals producer Nagase FineChem (NFC)

United States: United States based specialty chemicals manufacturer KMG Chemicals, Inc. has completed the acquisition of Singapore based electronic chemicals manufacturer, Nagase FineChem (NFC). NFC facility in Singapore includes production unit, packaging unit, warehouse, laboratory and cleanrooms. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of wet process chemicals like acids, solvents and customized blends for various markets such as electronics, LCD’s and semiconductors.  Under the acquisition, KMG would also manufacture some definite electronic chemicals for NFC for 1 year. KMG is also expected to combine its existing operations in Singapore with the new facility. In addition, KMG is also expected to make capital investment at NFC’s facility in order to enhance and improve the company’s existing capabilities in manufacturing, packaging and purification.

TechSci Research depicts that this acquisition would further improve the KMG’s offering for electronic chemicals to its customers in the Asian market. This would also strengthen KMG Chemical’s market position as well as provide significant opportunities for expansion to better serve the semiconductor market in Asia.
