DOW Corning and ChemPoint Entered into Distribution Agreement for Specialty Products

United States: Dow Corning Corporation, a global manufacturer and distributor of silicon based material and ChemPoint, a subsidiary of Univar, which is a global distributor of industrial and specialty chemical have signed a master distribution agreement. The agreement has been signed for distribution of Molykote specialty products in the US and Canada. On completion of the deal, ChemPoint would manage placement, delivery of orders and technical support for Molykote brand of Dow Corning.  Products of Molykote brand involves compounds, greases, pastes, anti-friction coatings, dispersions, and oils for industrial assembly and maintenance markets in the Americas. The deal would expand consumable, finished product, and MRO product portfolio of ChemPoint. Once in effect, the deal would support both the companies in catering to the demand of their customer.

TechSci Research depicts that this agreement would enable Dow Corning and ChemPoint to provide superior quality products of Molykote brand with an improved distribution channel. The agreement would increase the penetration of both the companies in United States and Canada with expanded supply chain network. All the aforementioned factors would result in increased sales of ChemPoint and Dow Corning.

To meet the growing specialty chemicals demand, various MNCs have started their domestic production in the country.
