Columbia: W.R. Grace & Co., a Columbia-based specialty chemicals
manufacturer, announced the completion of the separation of the company into
two independent companies that would be publicly traded. The two companies
would be named as W. R. Grace & Co. that would include Grace’s existing
catalysts technologies and materials technologies business segments and GCP
Applied Technologies Inc. that would include construction products business
segment and the darex packaging business. Post separation of the company, one
share of GCP Applied Technologies’ common stock (GCP) was distributed for each
of the share of Grace common stock.

business would aid the company’s focus and market position in the construction
chemicals industry apropos technological development, product offerings etc.
