Nokian launched a new range of forestry skidder tires, Logger King LS-2
Canada: The
Finland tire giant, Nokian Tyres plc has presented a brand new range of
forestry skidder tires for the entire North American market as well as other
market in abroad. The newly launched tires, the Logger King LS-2 is available
in five varied sizes and is mainly designed for the forestry purposes.
As per Nokian the new design of Logger King
LS-2 is made to target for the usage on skidders and is the ultimate workhorse
for the full tree forestry activities. The new tire will be available in five
sizes, i.e. 23.1-26, 28L-26, 24.5-32, 30.5L-32, and 35.5L-32. The two large
sizes of the tire were also designed considering the extreme version of the
forestry work.
The new tires would be available in two models,
namely, Logger King LS-2 and Logger King LS-2 Extreme. The standard former tire
version would be suitable to be used in majority of diverse regions and
machines, from small to medium sized skidders. Whereas, the latter tire version
would be for the most severe environments and is suggested to be used in heaviest
machines. The tire size, 35.5L-32, is made up of extra steel cords and have a
carcass structure to protect from punctures.
The product manager of forestry tires (Nokian
Heavy Tires Division), Teemu Vainionpaa stated that the new tire range was
launched as a renewed and updated version of the previous product line for the forestry
applications. He also added that the company have a strong knowledge about the forestry
works due to which they wanted to introduce the best product in the market,
Logger King. The tire has been tested in varied regions and is likely to offer durability
and a long life without compromising the traction capabilities.

rate of almost 644 vehicles per 1,000 individuals in 2014, the country’s
automotive market holds a huge potential across the globe. The country ranks
among the wealthiest nations of the world and have healthy trade relations with
countries such as USA, China, UK, Japan and many other emerging economies. Developed
urban areas & improved roadways along with increasing per capita income
have served as catalysts for the expanding automobile market of the country and
hence the tire industry of Canada.
As per TechSci Research, Nokian is still
struggling with its prominence in the North American market. However, by
offering different tires suitable for the environment conditions of the region,
the company would be able to increase its presence in Canada as well as other
American nations in the region. This would eventually assist Nokian to
establish its market share in the entire Americas.
