Triangle Tyre to increase its penetration in the U.S. Tire Market
USA: Chinese giant Triangle Tyre Co. Ltd. has established its
second subsidiary in the U.S.– “Triangle Tire USA” in January 2016 in order to
increase their visibility among the U.S customers. “The company realizes that
customers in the U.S. lack awareness about Triangle tire brand. However, the
situation is different amongst tire dealers which are keen to learn about the
proposition offered by Chinese tire manufacturer”, said Mr. Manny Cicero, the CEO
of Triangle’s new U.S.A. subsidiary.
Hence,
the company is engaged in brand building exercise in the U.S market. As a
maiden step towards this goal, the company has introduced its marketing and
sales team at a media event held at company’s technical centre located at Akron,
Ohio. The company has been expanding its team for the new subsidiary in the
U.S. Few of the team members in the Triangle Tire USA’s team are Tunney
Vandevender, manager of consumer tire sales, Sid Parr, director of commercial
tire sales, Angelia Wyatt, customer service manager and Mary Ma, director of
marketing.
The
new subsidiary Triangle Tire USA is responsible for sales and marketing of
medium trucks radial tires and OTR radial and Bias tire, passenger and light
truck tires. Moreover, the product portfolio of the company also includes specialty
trailer tires and ultra-high performance winter tires.
Apart
from the “Triangle Tire USA”, the parent company possess its first subsidiary
in the name of A3T LLC, which is established in August 2011. The A3T LLC is
engaged in R&D on tire related technologies, tire-manufacturing process,
tire designing etc.
According to a recently published TechSci Research report, United States Tyre Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020,
Passenger car tire segment accounted for the largest volume share of more than
80%, in the market in 2014, followed by light commercial vehicle, medium &
heavy commercial vehicle, OTR and two-wheeler tire segments. Major tire players
operating their tire manufacturing facilities in the US include Bridgestone,
Goodyear, Continental, Pirelli, Michelin and Yokohama.

Research believes that, the market share of Triangle Tyre Co. Ltd. is likely to increase in the U.S. tire market
backed by strengthening of its sales and marketing channel which is supported
by the new subsidiary.
