Borrachas Vipal adding a retreader in Mexico
Mexico: The Brazilian retread company,
Borrachas Vipal S/A has recently invested in expanding its dealership network,
by adding Renovatec, a well-known retreader, based in Guadalajara city among its
authorized dealer list in Mexico.
With
the addition of Renovatec, the company now claims to have a total of 17
companies under its dealership network in the country. In November, Renovatec launched
its new facility for retreading in Guadalajara which was also attended by Vipal
Rubber executives. Renovatec as of 2015, have an experience of more than 32
years in the retread tyre market. According to Vipal executive, the newly
introduced plant of Renovatec have an installed capacity to retread 2,500 tyres
in a month.
Vipal’s
commercial coordinator (Mexico and Central America), Mr. Jean Barros stated
that the market of Latin American is of prime importance to the company, wherein,
it was a planned strategy formed Vipal to expand specifically in the Guadalajara
area. Moreover, Renovatec selectively joined Vipal due to the company’s significant
development in quality and technology parameters.

Research, “Mexico Tyre Market Forecast and Opportunities,
2020” represents the growth of automotive industry in Mexico. With a
motorization rate of 29%, the tyre market of Mexico still signify a huge
untapped potential for automobiles in the country, particularly, the passenger
car segment which is currently generating more than half of the volume share Mexico
tyre industry.
As
per TechSci Research, there was a demand for retread tyres witnessed in the
country. The high price of a regular premium tyre is driving the demand of
retread tyres in Mexico at a considerable pace. With this recent initiative taken
by Borrachas Vipal S/A, the company would be able to expand its market share in
the retread tyre industry of Mexico. Also the company is likely to take an
advantage of brand recognition of Renovatec in Mexico, which would assist Vipal
to widen its sale all over the country.
