Dabur to set-up e-store LiveVeda with Snapdeal
India: Dabur has also forayed in
the e-commerce market by having a partnership with Snapdeal to set up an
e-store for its Ayurveda products called LiveVeda. Dabur which already has
products like Real Juices and shampoo Vatika wants to reach to the online
customers who have become the largest customer segment in last few years.
Dabur has been working to
expand in Herbal and Ayurveda category which is expected to be a big customer
segment on account of rising awareness for herbal products. Dabur is already
working with many partners to sell its product online and Snapdeal’s wider
reach across India will help Dabur to cater the large segment of the online
customers’ demand.
According to a recent report
published by TechSci Research “India
E-commerce Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020” the country’s
e-commerce market is projected to grow at a CAGR of more than 36% during
2015-2020. However, the e-tail segment that includes electronics, apparels
& accessories, health and personal care, etc., is expected to witness significantly
higher market growth compared to e-services segment over the next five years.
According to TechSci
Research, on account of growing internet penetration, educated young
population, presence of large number of e-commerce players are leading to
double digit growth in this market space. E-commerce websites provide a new
platform for the consumers and retailers both, where each benefits directly in
terms of time saving and less operational costs, respectively.
