Cooper opens first sales office in Brazil

Brazil:  Tyre giant, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has established its first sales office in Sao Paulo, Brazil to strengthen its sales and distribution network in the country. The new sales office, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. Brasil Fabricacao, Importacao e Distribuicao de Pneus Ltda. is established as a step in the direction of long term strategic plan to expand in Latin America. Prior to opening the first sales office in Brazil, the company has been operating through its sales agents in more than 20 Latin American and Caribbean nations. In 2014, the company has anticipated to sell around five million units tyres across Latin America by 2020.

The sales office will be led by Durval Amaral, general manager, Cooper tyres. “Cooper Tyre has put in place an outstanding core leadership team with decades of industry experience and knowledge specific to Latin America”, said Luis Ceneviz, managing director of Cooper’s Latin America Tyre.

As a step towards Latin America expansion plan, Cooper Tyre hired in February 2015. Mr. Ceneviz to look after its Latin America operation.
