KBR acquired 3 subsidiaries of Chematur Engineering

United States: KBR, Inc.,
a global technology, engineering, procurement and construction company
announced to acquire Weatherly Inc., Plinke GmbH, and Chematur Ecoplanning from
Chematur Technologies, whose parent company is Connell Chemical. Acquisition’s
transaction price stood at USD24.5 million. Weatherly is a North America-based
company that has been offering nitric acid and ammonium nitrate (nitrogen
fertilizer) related proprietary technologies and services to the fertilizer
market, Plinke is a Germany-based company that has been offering equipment for
the purification and concentration of inorganic acids and Ecoplanning is a
Finland based company that specializes in proprietary evaporation and
crystallization technologies and equipment for weak acid and base solutions. Post-acquisition,
Plinke and Ecoplanning’s plants and solutions
would be added to the technology portfolio of KBR. On the other hand, Weatherly
is expected to support KBR to become a top global provider of fertilizer
technologies and life cycle services along with ammonia solutions.

well as serve fertilizer related complex solution requirements for North
America and overseas clients.
