Omega Seiki unveils refrigerated electric three-wheeler to make last mile delivery of COVID-19 vaccines

Rage+ Frost is a battery-powered vehicle that is designed to make pollution-free delivery of essentials while maximising productivity and economic benefits.

India. Omega Seiki Mobility, the new-age hybrid technology solution provider introduced an advanced refrigerated electric three-wheeler, Rage+ Frost in collaboration with TransACNR at India Auto Show. The newly launched refrigerated carriage has been specifically designed to make last-mile deliveries of perishable commodities and pharmaceuticals, particularly COVID-19 vaccine. The Rage+ Frost intends to provide 360-degree logistics solutions, which would be available across pan-India in a couple of months.

The three-wheeler electric vehicle has the capacity to store COVID vaccines for 72 hours in stationary state at a temperature as low as -20 degrees Celsius. The vehicle runs on zero-maintenance Lithium-ion battery with a swappable technology, which makes the vehicle a safe and convenient mode of transport. The aerodynamic design of Rage+ Frost offers a low cost of running at Rs. 0.5/km and hence the e-vehicle becomes an economical and sustainable logistics solution that could save up costs and energy.

Announcing the launch of Rage+ Frost, Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility said, “The OSM was working to develop a product, which will help to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine. We are excited to launch Rage+ Frost in the market, which will help the country in the last-mile delivery of the vaccine.

Omega Seiki announced collaboration with air conditioning and refrigeration solution provider, Trans ACNR for design stimulation, product development and testing of refrigerated container in two, three and four-wheeled e-vehicles in November last year. On forming alliance with Omega Seiki Mobility, MD, TRANS ACNR, said, “By joining hands, we bring the last mile delivery of products like food, pharma in a temperature-controlled environment to our customers. Vaccine delivery will be a major project for us. We are very pleased to launch Rage+ Frost through OSM and Trans ACNR collaboration.”
