According to Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Rs.1100 crore has been made accessible for the street security purposes amid the years 2015-16 and 2016-17. According to Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the two-wheeler production is increasing at a high rate backed by increasing population and growing demand of two-wheelers from Lower- class and Middle-class population.

Moreover, among two-wheeler riders, injury to the head and neck is often the main cause of death, and helmet use can reduce this risk substantially. Non-use of helmets is associated with injuries and disabilities that result in higher treatment costs in the event of a crash.

Growing two-wheeler production in India generates the demand of helmets, as the government has mandate the use of helmets while riding. This will drive the India Bike Helmet Market.
