OpenAI Enhances ChatGPT for Business Users with Cloud Integrations, Meeting Tools, and Deep Research Connectors

OpenAI has announced a major
upgrade to its ChatGPT platform, introducing a suite of new enterprise-focused
features aimed at enhancing workplace productivity and collaboration. The
latest enhancements include seamless integrations with leading cloud storage
services, advanced meeting recording capabilities, and support for Deep
Research through new connectors.
As part of the rollout,
ChatGPT now supports direct integration with popular file storage platforms
such as Dropbox, Box, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Google Drive. These
integrations enable users to query and retrieve information across their
organization’s document ecosystem. For example, analysts can now leverage
internal presentations and documentation to develop investment strategies—all
within the ChatGPT environment. OpenAI confirmed that all data access will
adhere to the organization’s existing access control protocols.
Additionally, ChatGPT now
offers built-in meeting recording and transcription functionality—a key feature
in modern productivity tools. The feature automatically generates time-stamped
notes, action items, and summary insights, making post-meeting follow-up more
efficient. Users can also interact with meeting content through natural
language queries and convert action points directly into Canvas documents,
OpenAI’s collaborative workspace for writing and coding.
These capabilities position
ChatGPT as a direct competitor to productivity platforms like ClickUp, Zoom,
and Notion, which have recently introduced similar transcription and
summarization features. In another significant move, OpenAI has introduced beta
connectors for Deep Research, supporting platforms such as HubSpot, Linear, and
select tools from Microsoft and Google. This functionality enables business
users to generate comprehensive research reports by pulling structured data
from integrated platforms, combined with insights from the open web.
According to OpenAI, all new
connectors and features are now available to paid ChatGPT users, marking a
strategic step in its ongoing push to become a central productivity hub for
enterprise users.
