Toyo Introduces Two New Tires in Open Country Line

USA: Toyo Tires has introduced two new tires, thereby expanding its Open Country line of tires. The launch includes Open Country Q/T premium all-season touring tire and Open Country C/T on-/off-road commercial grade tire. The Open Country Q/T is specially designed for CUVs and SUVs, whereas the Open Country C/T tire is designed to fit ½-ton to 1-ton pickups. Toyo also said that these tires fit into the Open Country offering from M/T to R/T to C/T to A/TII to H/T to Q/T.

Furthermore, the Open Country Q/T is available in 35 sizes for rim diameters ranging from 16-22 inches. The tires are available with a 65,000-mile tread wear guarantee and also provides customers offers to test out the tires for 45 days or up to 500 miles before returning them, if not satisfied, under “No Regrets” trial offer provided by Toyo. The company has stated that both models of newly launched tires are available for sale in the market and dealer can also take benefit through product training for the new tires.

As per TechSci Research, introduction of two new tires by Toyo for light trucks is anticipated to increase the market share of the company in United States tire market, as the open country light trucks tires accounts for more than half of Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.'s consumer tire sales.

According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “United States Tyre Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020”, replacement tire segment accounted for more than 80% share in the United States tire market in 2014. However, the share of replacement tire segment is expected to decline over the forecast period, due to faster growth anticipated in the OEM tire segment. Passenger car tire segment accounted for the largest volume share of more than 80%, in the market in 2014, followed by light commercial vehicle, medium & heavy commercial vehicle, OTR and two-wheeler tire segments. Major tire players operating their tire manufacturing facilities in the US include Bridgestone, Goodyear, Continental, Pirelli, Michelin and Yokohama.
