Solvay and Suzano Papel E Celulose to Construct Hydrogen Peroxide Plant in Brazil
Brazil: Solvay and Peroxidos do
Brasil, the affiliate of the company have agreed to construct a hydrogen
peroxide manufacturing unit at Suzano Papel E Celulose’s pulp mill site in
Imperatriz, Brazil. Under the terms of the agreement, Solvay would produce
hydrogen peroxide by utilizing their trademark myH2O2® technology while Suzano
would provide the hydrogen feedstock as well as the services and utilities at
this facility. The hydrogen peroxide produced at this mill would be utilized
for bleaching pulp. The state of the art myH2O2 unit would reduce the logistics
needs and contribute to the efficient working of the plant.
TechSci Research depicts that
the construction of integrated hydrogen peroxide plant at the pulp mill facility
would enable Suzano
Papel E Celulose to lower the costs of purchasing important input and cut down
expenses. Additionally, expanding pulp industries in the country would
necessitate the requirement for gas phase filters at the facility in order to
remove the odor and toxic gases at the facility.
According to the recent
report published by TechSci Research,
“Global Gas
Phase Filtration Market, By
Type, By Filter Media, By Sector, Competition Forecast and Opportunities, 2011
- 2021”, global gas
phase filtration market is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 5% during
2016-2021, due to rising need for removing unwanted gases, implementation of
stringent government regulations to maintain suitable indoor air quality and
growing demand for protecting vital electronic equipment from corrosive gases.
Major end user applications for gas phase filtration include pulp and paper,
refining and petrochemicals, wastewater treatment and electronic industry.
