Godrej Appliances to invest Rs 200 crores to increase production
India: Two of Godrej’s manufacturing plants,
located in Shirwal and Mohali, which are into the manufacturing of home
appliances, will be expanding the production of air conditioners, washing
machines and refrigerators, as the company is planning to invest Rs 200 crores
for the Brownfield projects for both the plants. The project will include the software development, which
will help in rebuilding a new product from an existing one, which will further
add to the production level.
The
company is also planning to increase its number of exclusive brand showroom
stores to 100, which is 42 at present. The hike in production was required to
meet the rising demand for Godrej’s product in the country. Moreover. The
company will also be focusing on its designs and further developments related
to new products, coupled with practice of becoming manufacturing expertise at
its best.
According
to TechSci Research, the expansion of production level of home appliances will
help the company in meeting unexpected growing demand. Moreover, the company
will be prepared to handle the tough situations such as Out Of Stock &
Shortages of products. The companies have to maintain a balance between Supply
& Demand accordingly, if understood properly, will help in saving variable
cost & and experiencing maximum profits. Moreover, the demand for energy
efficient air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines is increasing in
the country, and also it is becoming a trend to use energy efficient technology
