Ecoark Holdings Acquires Sable Polymer Solutions

United States: Ecoark Holdings, a US based technology solutions provider, has completed the acquisition of Sable Polymer Solutions, a recycled and reclaimed resin materials producer. Sable Polymer Solutions would be integrated with Pioneer Products, an Ecoark Holding’s subsidiary in order to vertically integrate the resin materials business. Through the acquisition of Sable Polymer Solutions, Pioneer Products would serve as an integrated end-to-end solutions provider, from reclamation of recyclable resins to sale of final resin product. This acquisition is in accordance with the strategy of Ecoark Holdings to reduce waste in logistics, supply chains and operations.            

TechSci Research depicts that the acquisition of Sable Polymer Solutions would boost the service offerings of Ecoark Holdings. Additionally, this deal is expected to unlock opportunities for new partnerships to increase penetration in North America resins market.

China PET market continues to be dominated by PET packaging films and sheets, which is forecast to register robust growth through 2020. The remaining PET market in China includes PET bottles for food packaging and carbonated drinks, packaged drinking water, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, edible oils, etc. On the other hand, PBT resin market in China continues to be commanded by electrical and electronics components and automotive components industry.
