Havells to diversify its business, entering Modular Switches Segment
India: India origin consumer electric
goods manufacturer, Havells, has entered modular switches segment in India by
launching Reo Bliss brand. The company’s is expecting to generate INR1000
million in coming two three years from modular switches segment.
Also, Havells expects an overall growth
of 10 percent in switch segment with Reo bliss contributing 25 per cent of the
total revenue earned from switches segment. Besides this Havells has further
plans to expand their sales network in India and is emphasizing on small towns.
Reo Bliss would be available at a
starting price of INR19 and will be available in seven colours and three combinations.
For manufacturing of Reo Bliss, the company will use its Baddi Plant.
According to TechSci Research, Havells
entry into modular switches segment will help the company to enhance their
market share. Furthermore, company’s decision to offer the product at lesser
price than that of competitors will attract more customers which ultimately
will help them to increase their customer base and revenue.
