HP to strengthen its participation in ‘Digital India’ initiative
India: Hewlett-Packard Company, a California-
based company which has operations in India as well, is strengthening the three
key focus areas to support ‘Digital India’ initiative in the country. The three
key focus areas are – Establishing the Digital Infrastructure, Creating and
Supporting Digital Literacy and delivering the services through digital
mediums.
The
company official states that HP has the capability to create digital
infrastructure along with the capability of deploying futuristic information
technology solutions. Towards creating and supporting digital literacy, the
company is setting up knowledge learning centers.
Also,
the company is planning to expand its manufacturing facilities to other
locations in India to support the local manufacturing. The company has major
operations in printers and personal computers and has manufacturing facility in
Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.
HP
launched a new range of personal computers and business printer in India market
to provide the enterprise level security to the small and medium businesses at
the low cost.
The
company has worked with the India Government on multiple projects in the past.
