Kumho Tire further solidifies Product Portfolio

Tires USA Inc. has added three new tires to its product line-up including two
Ultra-High Performance tires and one touring tire for SUVs, CUVs and light
trucks. It is anticipated that the company intends to target better stability
and control of vehicles at higher speeds. The company describes its debutant
products as follows: -
Ecsta
PS91
The company claims that the product is
precise and suitable for better handling and control in wet and dry conditions
on and off the road at higher speeds, with reduced harmonics for quiet and
safer ride, to satisfy car enthusiasts. The tire is equipped with better dry
performance characteristics and will be initially available in 34 sizes in 18
to 20 inches’ fitments with Y speed rating, additionally, 9 more sizes will be
launched in the second quarter of 2016.
Ecsta
PS31
The product is designed to provide a balanced
combination of high-speed stability, low road noise and safety in summer
season, with value oriented ultra-high performance. Furthermore, the structural
improvements have also been done to prevent irregular wear and tear to enhance
tread life, resistance against hydroplaning and improved traction on roads even
in wet conditions. The product is initially available with V and W speed rating
and a rim size of 18 to 20 inches.
Crugen
HT51
The product has been engineered to bring a
whole new level of luxury to CUV/SUV/LT segment vehicles, to handle all-season
highway terrain touring. The company claims that the product has been designed
to exhibit better stability and traction on snow covered roads and improved
driving performance in wet and dry conditions with extended tread life
characteristics to efficiently handle everyday business as well as workload
applications. Initially, the product has been released in 35 sizes ranging from
15 to 20 inches with T, R and S rating.
According to a recent report published by Techsci Research, “United States Tyre Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020”, United States is second largest
automobile market with a motorization rate of 790 vehicles per 1000
individuals, as of 2014. Passenger car tires segment accounted for the highest
share of market volume of around 80% in 2014, followed by light commercial
vehicle and medium & heavy commercial vehicles segments.

strengthen its product portfolio is a strategic decision which is poised to boost
the company’s market and will help the company to build robust position in the
global tire market.
