Yokohama expands its OE fitment on Chrysler Pacificas variant of 2017

Canada: The American subsidiary of Yokohama Rubber Company Limited, Yokohama Tire Corp. was selected as the original equipment (OE) supplier for the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica model. The company would supply its Avid S34RV tire, in size 235/65R17 104T as OE fitment on the Chrysler passenger car. The OE fitment is likely to cover both the major markets of North America, i.e. The United States and Canada.

As per the OE Sales Director of Yokohama Tire Corp., Andrew Zeisser, the company’s Avid tire line have a long history of being an OE for few of the best vehicles, wherein, Yokohama also feels proud to add Chrysler Pacifica to the OE portfolio of the company. The Chrysler Pacifica would be available in a hybrid version as well.

Also, Yokohama's entire product range comprises of tires for high-performance, light truck, passenger car, commercial truck & bus and off-the-road mining & construction applications.

According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “Canada Tyre Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020” Canada include provinces such as Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia, which are also the prominent commercial destinations of the country. With a population of over 35 million, the country upholds a huge vehicle fleet. Factors which contributed to the expanding tire market of the country were, developed urban areas & improved roadways, coupled with the high per capita income.

As per TechSci Research, Canada tire market is forecast to increase at a significant rate in coming five years. Moreover, the recent step taken by Yokohama would not only lead to the expanding OE portfolio for the company but also result in a widen market share of Yokohama in entire North American market.
