Ibri Industrial City Project Nearing Completion

Oman's Industrial Parks Public Authority (Madayn) announced
that the Ibri Industrial City project in Sultanate is progressing steadily,
with more than 80% of the work in the first phase completed. Among the works
done include road construction, water, sewage, storm water, communications and
surveillance systems.
Ibri Industrial City covers an area of 270,000 square
meters and currently has 28 projects with a total investment of over USD25
million (9.7 million riyals). According to Madayn, the project activities
consist of construction materials, oil and gas services, food industry,
manufacturing industry and production, service, warehousing and trade. Some of
these local chemical companies have started production, and some will enter the
implementation phase in the near future. Road paving works have been completed
and service works are continuing. The sustainable alternative energy has been
used in 303 lighting poles.
It is worth noting that Madayn has signed an agreement to
build an integrated gas station covering an area of 40,000 square meters to
be used in stages, including stations, gas stations, rest areas, truck and car
places. The project will assist investors in Ibri Industrial City and travelers
to Saudi Arabia. Al Mabsali (Director General of Ibri Industrial City) noted
that investors are interested in taking advantage of Madayn's incentives that
facilitate various types of investments, including two years of free rent for
investors and 50% free rent for the next three years.
The Industrial City
of Ibri is located on the road to the border with Oman and Saudi Arabia and
covers an area of 10 million square meters. It will be suitable for many
industries, businesses and services. These include commercial lighting,
commercial operations and administrative offices, manufacturing facilities,
warehouses and offices. Ibri Industrial City is expected to create new jobs and
stimulating the Oman economy. This is a continuation of the government's efforts
to support the economic development of the provinces of Oman according to the
Oman Vision 2040.
