Pirelli commends its OE connections at Geneva Motor Show
Switzerland: As per
the executives of Pirelli, the tire company has been following the market
strategy of Homologation, which is basically the process of developing and
certifying a tire as approved original equipment for a passenger car at the
Motor event held at Geneva.
At the event, the company executive declared
about its new P Zero tire model, which is yet to be officially launched in early
April 2016, however, the tire has already gained popularity among 56 Original
Equipment (OE) homologations. These homologations include few of the renowned passenger
car brands of the industry, such as McLaren 570S GT, Pagani Huayra BC, Lamborghini
Centenario and Giugiaro Italdesign GTZero concept car.
As per the general manager of operation
(Pirelli), Gregorio Borgo, the company is offering the right product to the
right user in the industry. The company is also offering these tires to be
fitted in the new Maserati, Lamborghini and Ferrari car models. Moreover, with
the launch of this new tire, the company would have a total of 10 P Zero tires
available in the market.
The company proudly claimed that the new product
would be available in three varied models designed for three different type of passenger
cars. The first would be the top range sports cars, second being the high
performance sedan cars and third would be for supercars (P Zero Corsa).
At the event, the general manger of Pirelli
also claimed that with the recent add-on homologations by Pirelli tires, the
company has moved ahead of Continental A.G. and many others as well. Mr. Bogo
stated that the market of premium cars is anticipated to hasten by sevenfold through
2000-2020, wherein, Pirelli is likely to mark its presence with its new
innovative products.
According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “Switzerland
Tyre Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020” the country
holds a motorization rate of almost 600 vehicles as of 2013, consequently
signifying considerable demand for tires in the replacement market. Also, the
tire market of the country is dominated by the lion’s share of passenger cars
in the country. With the planned innovation claimed by Pirelli about P Zero at
the event hosted in the country, the company is likely to grow its brand
penetration across Switzerland.
