RPM acquired Holton Food Products- U.S. based Food Stabilizer Manufacturer
United States: RPM International Inc. which has been
offering specialty coatings, sealants, building materials products and
services, has announced that Mantrose-Haeuser Co. Inc., a subsidiary of RPM has
acquired a U.S. based company Holton Food Products. Holton Food Products is one
of the significant suppliers in the United States Food Additive Market and
engaged in the production and distribution of food stabilizer and dry egg white
products for the bakery, desserts and prepared food industry. The transaction
is expected to be accretive to earnings by 2017.
TechSci Research depicts that
this acquisition would enable Mantrose to expand its product portfolio in the
food additive market primarily in the bakery market. Over the past few years,
the United States has witnessed a paradigm shift towards consumption of
processed and packaged foods due to busier lifestyles and growing working
population. This, in turn, is propelling food manufacturers to use specialty
chemicals called food additives. Food stabilizers to enhance the color, flavor,
texture and shelf life of processed food products.

and Opportunities, 2019”, the
market for food additives in the United States is projected to witness a CAGR
of around 7% till 2019. Consumers in the US are showing inclinations towards
naturally sourced products, which is driving food producers to make and use all
natural food additives such as organic preservatives, colorants, emulsifiers,
and flavors among others. All these factors, in combination, are driving the
market for food additives in the country.
