Wipro wins infrastructure management contracts from ASSA ABOY

India: One of the largest lock manufacturing companies, ASSA ABOY Group awarded Wipro its IT infrastructure management and transformation contract to Wipro. The term of the contract is of five years.

During the contract tenure, Wipro would have to transform ASSA ABOY’s existing IT infrastructure by consolidating its existing data centers located in EMEA region and deploy the cloud-based service models – Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

To provide the agile, user-friendly solutions, and consumption-based service model; Wipro would utilize its Boundary Less Data Center (BLDC) along with its IT infrastructure management suite to provide seamless services to ASSA ABOY.

ASSA ABOY aims to improve the efficiency of data centers by deploying Wipro’s BLDC offerings, as well it wanted to establish a global delivery model based on Wipro’s ServiceNXT.

Currently, ASSA ABOY Group is present is over 70 countries and has 44,000 employees.

According to TechSci Research, Indian technology giants are seizing new cloud-based projects in the modern technologies from the global enterprises is expected to bring the positive trend in the India Cloud Computing Market.

TechSci Research recently published a report “India Cloud Computing Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020” which depicts that the market for cloud computing services in India is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 22% during 2015-2020. Cloud computing technology offers tremendous cost benefits over traditional in-house systems for data storage, the companies are moving from traditional to the cloud-based model. As well, the capability of IT firms to provide the excellent cloud services is the key reason of upsurge in the market.
