F-Secure focuses on SMB to double business in India
India: F-Secure, a Helsinki-based
cyber security and privacy firm plans to double its operations in India by
aggressively focusing on Small Medium Business (SMB) segment. The companies will
focus on its corporate B2B segment which has reported the fastest growth in the
past.
The company is operating in India from more than nine
years. It has doubled its business in the country last year and planning to
achieve the same in 2016. The company plans to expand its channel partner base
in the country to meet the set target.
The company believes F-secure has to focus on Asia markets
to have good growth. After establishing the foothold in Japan and HongKong
markets, F-secure is set to expand its business in more countries such as India
in the region.
The company official states, the SMBs are the important
entity in the digital value chain. Hackers look for the weakest link and in
most of the cases, SMBs become the target especially when they are supplier or
sub-contractor of a larger firm.
According to TechSci
Research, F-secure is catering to the larger market by targeting to the
base of more than 50 million SMBs in India. After SMBs are actively spending
and adopting security solutions, the company is expected to witness substantial
growth in the country.
Asia-Pacific is rapidly emerging as a potential market for
cyber security solution providers, driven by emerging economies such as India
and China. Increasing spending in cyber security from IT industry and growing
concerns of security from BFSI industry in India are anticipated to boost the
demand for cyber security in the country; discusses the recent report “Global
Cyber Security Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020” published by TechSci Research.
