Reliance Jio to officially launch 4G to Indian Market

Reliance Jio, a telecom venture of Reliance industries is ready to set its foothold in the 4G market with the official launch of this service on 27th December.

Reliance employees received the mail from Mukesh Ambai, head Reliance Industries and his wife Nita Ambai to be the part of a grand event which is dedicated for this 4G launch.

The company started conducting the field trial of its 4G services back in 2010 at its own campus, and expanded its trails in July 2014 and continued till early 2015. The company earnings report in October this year revealed that they planned to launch commercial services of Reliance Jio in the financial year 2016-17.

This is notable that Reliance Jio is the only operator in the country with Pan India license of 4G and have the benefit of liberalized spectrum which can be used for any modern technology for mobile services.

Though, the company is not the first to launch 4G services in the country. In the past year, Airtel took the first mover advantage and launched its 4G services in August. The step was followed by the second largest operator by subscriber base in the country –Vodafone which announced to provide its 4G services by this year end.

TechSci Research illustrates that the recent move of Reliance Jio will push the leading operators Airtel and Vodafone primarily to resolve their network connectivity issues at the fastest pace. Reliance Jio is clearly one step ahead as it has the license to roll out its 4G services to the entire nation –where other operators lag behind.

This is noteworthy that Indian market is the high adopter of mobile phones, internet plans and it also comes with the benefit of the large consumer base. From the telecom market perspective, TechSci Research depicts that roll out advance technologies and spectrum will make Indian market more competitive and operators will take an extra mile to secure their market share.
