Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services Acquires an Italian Leather and Luxury Goods Laboratory, CERTEST

16th December 2015, Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services is acquiring CERTEST, a private and independent laboratory specialized in testing of leather, apparels and luxury goods.
 
CERTEST is an established name and has a firm technical reputation in the leather and apparels industry. CERTEST was founded in 2004 and is based in San Miniato. It has a portfolio of the major fashion and luxury goods brands. The CERTEST laboratory has latest testing equipment which ensures safety, quality and compliance of footwear, apparels, leather goods and luxury items by performing chemical and physical testing.
 
This acquisition would help European clients of BVCPS as it will benefit them with technical and market knowledge of CERTEST’s team which are experts in leather technology and luxury items.
 
Since last few years CERTEST have a technical and commercial partnership with BVCPS and becoming their member company will help CERTEST spearheading the consumer product services and growing their network globally.
 
According to Techsci Research this acquisition will help BVCPS to strengthen its footprints in Italian market which is considered to be the world’s fashion hub with the biggest labels and most renowned fashion designers. Italy is, also, said to be one of the major apparels, footwear and leather goods manufacturing countries.
