Excelfore collaborates with Microsoft to expand scope of In-Vehicle Connected Platforms

United States: Excelfore, an innovative provider of cloud platform and connectivity applications for intelligent transportation joined forces with Microsoft on connected vehicle platform for over the air (OTA). The collaboration will combine Excelfore’s extensive experience to connect with the electronic devices in a car, with the cloud expertise of Microsoft. Excelfore’s eSync data pipeline will be available on Microsoft’s Connected Vehicle Platform for Over-the-air updates, diagnostics and telematics and eSync will serve as a solution accelerator for the connected vehicle platform.

Excelfore Corporation delivers solutions for smart mobility networks, enabling automotive OEMs to build the next generation of connected cars, smart cars, among others. It also provides solutions to enable secure networks for the automotive industry and Internet of Things. Excelfore provides an implementation of the eSync pipeline which also includes the server in Microsoft Azure, the client in the vehicle, and agents for the end devices. The specifications for the eSync data pipeline and eSync compliant components can be accessed through the eSync Alliance.

GM (Azure IoT Mobility, Maps and Connected Vehicle) of Microsoft stated that, “Excelfore has integrated their proven data pipeline with Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform’s in vehicle and cloud architecture to reach any number of end devices in the connected car. OTA updates and data gathering are increasingly important technologies for the digital transformation of the automotive market.”
