Major pipeline projects are under construction in Iran. One being the 1850 km long pipeline between Pakistan and Iran. Another pipeline project comprising the National Iranian Gas Co., would be a trunk line pipeline, and is expected to transport natural gas to Europe. In Iraq, the construction of ~1678 km long twin pipeline has been commissioned, wherein one would be carrying crude oil, while the other one would be responsible for transportation of gas. The pipeline would be constructed between Basra to the Red Sea in Jordan.
