The renowned Japanese tire manufacturer has announced the addition of F-load range of light truck tires to its existing tire line

United States: To fulfil the need of truck owners and dealers, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. announced the expansion of its F-load tire range for light trucks to its Open Country brand line.

The company would be offering tire in Open Country R/T, Open Country M/T and Open Country A/T II range with sizes, 35x12.50R20LT, 33X12.50R18LT and 37X12.50R22LT.

In comparison to E-load range, the F-load range tires allows higher carrying capacity at a higher inflation pressure. These new tires address the increase in payload and towing capacity and provides owners the freedom to personalize the style and look of their vehicles.

Senior director of product planning for Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp, Conrad Galamgam, said that the company is aiming at creating innovative products and solutions to address to the needs and expectations of the off-road community & specialty dealers.

As per TechSci Research, by expanding with an all new tire range, specifically for LCV segment, Toyo would able to expand its product portfolio and its offering for the consumers in the United States market. The expansion of F-Tire range is also anticipated to further intensify the competition among the tire companies based in United States in forecast years.

According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “United States Tire Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2021’’, demand for tires in the United States is forecast to grow at a CAGR of over 5%, in volume terms, during 2016-2021. The vehicle fleet of the country is dominated by passenger car segment, followed by light commercial vehicles, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, off-the-Road (OTR) vehicles and two-wheeler segment. As a result, the passenger car tire segment held the largest volume share in the country’s tire market in 2015, and its dominance is anticipated to continue during the forecast period as well. Leading global tire companies operating in the United States include Bridgestone, Goodyear, Michelin, Cooper, Continental, Sumitomo, Hankook, Yokohama, etc. The report also portrays huge potential of tire market in Southeast and Midwest regions of the country. The vast demand for tires from these regions can mainly be imputed to the large automobile fleet size, high population density coupled with the rapid urbanization in the area.
