GE HealthCare Launches AI-Driven Cardiovascular Ultrasound System at ESC 2025

GE HealthCare launches “Vivid Pioneer” AI-powered cardiovascular ultrasound at ESC 2025, enhancing imaging accuracy, workflow efficiency, and clinical decision-making.

Spain:  GE HealthCare (GEHC) has introduced its latest adaptive cardiovascular ultrasound system, “Vivid Pioneer,” at the 2025 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress in Madrid. Designed to enhance efficiency and precision, the system integrates advanced AI-powered automation and measurement tools to support clinicians across all experience levels while minimizing inter-operator variability and accelerating workflows.

The “Vivid Pioneer” features the cSound Pioneer imaging reconstruction algorithm, along with the new 4Vc-D and 6Sc-D probes for detailed visualization of fine anatomical structures and cardiac function. Key innovations include “AI Cardiac Auto Doppler” for automated measurements, “Easy AFI” for strain and ejection fraction analyses, and “4D Auto LHQ” for left heart function assessment. Compact in design, the system is optimized for use in echo labs, catheterization labs, and bedside settings. It has received the CE mark in Europe.

In addition to the “Vivid Pioneer,” GEHC showcased several other CE-marked AI-enhanced technologies at ESC 2025, including:

  • “ViewPoint EchoPilot” for automated echo measurements and reporting
  • “CardIQ Suite” for postprocessing and cardiac image analysis, featuring automated calcium scoring and heart fat volume visualization
  • “Revolution Vibe” for coronary CT angiography (CCTA)
  • “ComboLab AltiX AI.i” electrophysiology and hemodynamic recording system, developed with Volta Medical, which integrates PruckaStream to share real-time data with the Volta AF-Xplorer decision support system

With these innovations, GEHC continues to advance AI-driven cardiovascular care by delivering tools that streamline clinical workflows and enhance diagnostic accuracy.

According to TechSci Research, the launch of GE HealthCare’s “Vivid Pioneer” at ESC 2025 is set to significantly benefit the healthcare industry by advancing cardiac imaging precision and efficiency. Equipped with AI-driven automation and measurement tools, the system helps reduce inter-operator variability, ensuring consistent and accurate diagnoses across clinicians with varying experience levels. Features such as “AI Cardiac Auto Doppler,” “Easy AFI,” and “4D Auto LHQ” streamline cardiac function assessments, enabling faster decision-making in time-sensitive environments. Its compact design further enhances accessibility in diverse clinical settings, from catheterization labs to bedside care. By integrating advanced visualization with workflow optimization, the “Vivid Pioneer” not only improves diagnostic confidence but also supports better patient outcomes, making it a valuable step forward in addressing the rising global burden of cardiovascular diseases.
