Fortis Healthcare secures 15-year lease
for ~200-bed Greater Noida hospital, strengthening NCR presence and expanding
tertiary care access.
Greater
Noida, India: Fortis Healthcare has announced that its
wholly owned subsidiary, International Hospital Ltd. (IHL), has entered into a
15-year lease agreement with RR Lifesciences Limited for a ~200-bed fully
operational multi-specialty hospital in Greater Noida. The facility, previously
managed under an Operations and Management (O&M) arrangement since October
2022, will now be operated as Fortis Hospital Greater Noida under full
operational and financial control of Fortis.
The hospital, situated on a 1.35-acre
UPSIDA-leased land parcel with a built-up area of 2.7 lakh sq. ft., has scope
to expand capacity by an additional 50 beds, reaching ~250 beds. Strategically
located along the Greater Noida Expressway and well connected to the Aqua Line
Metro, Yamuna Expressway, and Eastern Peripheral Expressway, the facility is
just 34 km from the upcoming Jewar International Airport.
Greater Noida has witnessed rapid urbanization,
corporate expansion, and residential development in recent years, creating
strong demand for advanced healthcare services. Fortis’ strengthened presence
is expected to cater to the medical needs of local communities and surrounding
regions while further positioning the city as a healthcare hub in Delhi-NCR.
Commenting on the development, Dr.
Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, MD and CEO, Fortis Healthcare, said, “The addition
of Fortis Hospital Greater Noida underlines our commitment to strengthening
healthcare delivery across NCR. Greater Noida is emerging as an important hub,
driven by urbanization, industrial growth, and rising patient demand. With this
expansion, we are not only enhancing access to advanced tertiary care but also
reinforcing Fortis’ leadership in the region. Our focus will remain on
delivering high-quality, ethical, and patient-centric care while exploring
opportunities for further growth”.
According to TechSci Research, Fortis Healthcare’s 15-year lease
agreement for a ~200-bed multi-specialty hospital in Greater Noida marks a
significant step in strengthening India’s healthcare infrastructure. With
Greater Noida witnessing rapid urbanization, industrial growth, and rising
residential demand, the region faces an increasing need for advanced medical
facilities. By assuming full operational and financial control, Fortis can
streamline services, invest in technology, and expand capacity to ~250 beds,
thereby improving accessibility to high-quality tertiary care. The hospital’s
strategic location near key expressways and the upcoming Jewar International
Airport enhances connectivity, ensuring timely access to critical care for a
larger population base. This development not only addresses the healthcare
demand-supply gap in a growing urban hub but also reflects the broader trend of
private healthcare providers expanding their footprint across underserved
regions. Overall, it contributes to improved patient outcomes, reduced
treatment delays, and the long-term strengthening of India’s healthcare
delivery ecosystem.
