HONOR launched HONOR 400 Series with AI Camera

HONOR has launched its latest smartphone series, introducing the HONOR 400 and HONOR 400 Pro in select markets. During the global launch event held in Paris, France, the company revealed the key specifications and features of both devices. The HONOR 400 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen chipset, while the HONOR 400 Pro is equipped with the more advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The HONOR 400 series features a large display and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

The HONOR 400 Pro claims to stands out with its camera system, featuring a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens, which also supports OIS. Both smartphones are equipped with a 6,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging. Additionally, the Pro variant supports 50W wireless charging. In terms of durability, the standard HONOR 400 is rated IP66 for dust and water resistance, while the Pro variant boasts a more robust IP68/69 rating.

The photography capabilities of the HONOR 400 series are enhanced by the advanced AI HONOR Image Engine, which introduces innovations to elevate mobile photography. The HONOR 400 is the industry’s first smartphone to offer 30x telephoto shooting with the main camera, featuring AI Super Zoom ideal for capturing expansive natural landscapes or urban scenes with a focal length range of 15x to 30x.

The series also includes a suite of AI-powered photo editing tools such as HONOR’s proprietary AI Eraser, reflection removal tool, and an “Outpainting” feature that extends images beyond their original frame with realistic content additions. A 50MP portrait selfie camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens support various shooting styles, catering to diverse photography needs.

The AI Portrait Snap feature, powered by the Capture Enhancement Large Model, ensures crisp and detailed portraits even when capturing motion in daylight street scenes. To enhance the aesthetic appeal of images, the HONOR 400 series introduces the AI-driven Film Simulation Mode, which analyzes lighting and subject details to produce cinematic effects that match the mood of each scene. Additionally, the Harcourt Portrait Mode offers users refined lighting options for creating elegant portraits. With these tools, the HONOR 400 series empowers users to capture and preserve memorable moments.
