Kumho Expanded its Range of SUV Tires

United Kingdom: Kumho added new range of tires under its 4×4/SUV tire portfolio with the addition of Crugen HP91 and Crugen KL33 tires. The newly launched products include tires ranging from cross functional Road Venture MT51 to KL71. The tires are suitable for high end SUVs such as the Range Rover, BMW X5, Land Rover Defender and others.

Also, KL33 tire was selected by the Jeep as OE (Original Equipment) fitment on its Renegade model. Catering to the requirement of SUV segment, the KL33 is an all season tire which offers high comfort at intense speed, along with excellent handling and low level of noise. The new tire provides outstanding traction on wet as well as dry road.

The new tire is inclined with a firm constructed sidewall which minimizes punctures, while offering an extensive performance on road. The KL33 tire is available in 17 to 19 inches diameter size, with a mix speed rating of V and H.

TechSci Research depicts that the decision made by Kumho to add new 4X4/SUV tires would strengthen the company’s current tire portfolio across the United Kingdom market, which would further assist the company to cater to the growing demand for tires, specifically for the passenger car segment in the country. The addition of the new tires is further expected to increase the competition among the top players in in the United Kingdom tire market.

According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “United Kingdom Tire Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2021”, tire market in the United Kingdom is projected to surpass US$ 6 billion by 2021. United Kingdom tire market is predominantly replacement driven, owing to large and expanding vehicle fleet size in the country. In 2015, the country’s tire market was dominated by the passenger car tire segment, which accounted for more than 80% of the total tire demand in the UK, followed by light commercial vehicle and medium & heavy commercial vehicle tires. A major portion of demand for tires in the country emanates from London and South East regions due to their large automobile fleet size and high level of urbanization. Few of the leading global tire companies operating in the United Kingdom include Michelin, Pirelli, Goodyear-Dunlop, Bridgestone, Continental, Kumho and Yokohama.
