Biometrics attendance mandatory in government colleges of Madhya Pradesh

Biometrics attendance will be applicable for all faculty members and employees of government colleges in Madhya Pradesh

India: The higher education department of Madhya Pradesh has decided that the attendance of principals, teachers and employees of government colleges in the state will be done through  biometric machines. Department has linked e-attendance with disbursement of salaries of these employees and faculty members.

The reason behind the move is to provide a faster, easier and more accurate way of recording attendance of teaching and non-teaching staff in higher education institutes, and it will also help in tracking exact data about the availability of faculty in colleges.

TechSci Research depicts that with this installation, and increasing absenteeism among faculty and staff in the institutes, biometric attendance will enable the administration to analyse the presence of the faculties & employees and recording the faculty – student ratio as well. Further, with growing technological advancements and increasing deployment of the biometric systems, the biometrics industry will grow significantly in India.
