Parag Milk Foods Plans to Open 120 Gowardhan Shopees by March Next Year

India: Parag Milk Foods, a Pune based company, which is the second largest company in cheese market, selling both packaged milk and milk products throughout India. The company is transforming their existing shops to design under the name of Gowardhan shopees, which is working as a franchise based concept.

 

The company is also planning to expand their brand from exiting four to total of seven by next year. Further, it has announced of its fifth brand “Milk Rich”, which will be categorized in dairy whitener products. In addition to it, company has also planned to launch its sixth brand in the category of whey products. The company will be setting up a separate factory to develop whey consumer products such as protein mix powder.

 

TechSci Research depicts that Parag milk foods is a leading manufacturers and marketers of dairy based products in India. The company has diverse range of products including fresh milk, whey proteins, paneer, ghee, cheese, yoghurt, milk powder, and also dairy based beverages, these products are targeting wide range of consumer group in urban and rural areas, through several brands. As India is the largest market for milk and milk products, the scope of dairy market in India is more than any of the other country. Established company such as Mother dairy, Amul and Parag has already acquired large share in the dairy market. With variety of new products being launched in the market by big players in the dairy segment, it will be hard for new entrants in the market to gain popularity among consumers without any proper strategical planning.
