Alibaba cloud to provide traffic management solutions to Hangzhou Government
China: Alibaba cloud (Alicloud), a subsidiary
of e-commerce giant Alibaba group, will provide artificial intelligence
technology in predicting real time traffic to alleviate road congestion in
collaboration with Hangzhou government.
Under
‘Hangzhou City Brain’ plan, Alicloud will provide real time traffic
recommendations and re-route travelling routes based on video and image
recognition technology using big data collected through real-time traffic.
Adjustment
of traffic light turns out be one of the most prominent feature of the smart
traffic management system wherein a green light will automatically extend when
system detects heavy congestions of vehicle on any particular road.
