New Pair of Workhorse Truck Tires Launched By Goodyear

United States: Goodyear extended its line of commercial tires by introducing two new tires under their workhorse truck tires range which include Workhorse MSD and MSA for off-road / over-the-road applications.

According to Evan Perrow, marketing manager, “The Workhorse name denotes tough and dependable, designed to help mixed-service trucks tackle tough jobs while helping to lower operating costs”. He further added that, The Workhouse line is part of Goodyear’s “Total Solution” premise designed to help fleets lower their operating costs.

The new product named Workhorse MSD has been launched in two sizes: 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 both belong to Load Range H with features such as - rugged casing construction which enhances their toughness and retreadability. Moreover, the tire is also enabled with an advanced tread compound which helps it to resist cuts and has deep undertread which promotes cool-running performance.

Further, the second variant named Workhorse MSA has been launched in three sizes: 11R22.5 (Load Range H), 11R24.5 (Load Range H), and 315/80R22.5 (Load Range L – 10,000-pound capacity). Backed by its key features such as enhanced tread volume and high-mileage tread compound, and wider footprint the tire offers better handling and greater mileage.

According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, United States Tyre Market Forecast & Opportunities, 2020’’, United States automobile market is the second largest automobile market in the world, with a motorization rate (including passenger cars and commercial vehicles) of more than 790 vehicles per 1,000 individuals, in 2014. Increasing disposable income due to strengthening US Dollar, falling oil and food prices, and rising standard of living, are resulting in an increase in production and sales of vehicles in the US. Steady growth in sales and production of automobiles, expanding automobile fleet, and favorable government policies, are anticipated to propel growth in the US tire market over the next five years.

As per TechSci Research, introduction of Workhorse Truck Tires will strengthen the product portfolio of the Goodyear in the country, which is further expected to support its market share in the United States tire market.
