ABB Wins Order worth USD300 million to Develop Ultra-high-voltage Power Transmission Line in China
China:
ABB won a contract to
develop 1100 KV ultra-high voltage power transmission line that would link
Xinjian Region of north-west China to Anuhi province in Eastern China. The
project aims to connect the renewable energy projects in remote location of
China to the grid system. The contract, which is valued at USD300 million
includes delivery of transformers, HVDC convertor valves and other power
transmission equipment. The project would help in meeting the growing demand for
power from eastern region of China.
TechSci Research depicts that development
of ultra-high voltage transmission lines in China would improve the power
evacuation infrastructure in China. It would enable the evacuation of power from
existing and upcoming renewable energy projects in China. China embarks on
becoming the world leader in renewable energy resources. The development of
renewable energy projects such as wind power plants would drive the wind power
market in China.
According to a recently released report of TechSci Research, “China Wind Power Market Forecast & Opportunities,
2017” There is no
looking back for China wind power market even though the price war between wind
power companies escalates. The market is still on the rising path with major
developments taking place in the country. Offshore wind power market has been
leading the wind power market in China. The coastal regions of China remain to
be the hotspots of Wind Power development in China, along with other provinces
too recording a respectable growth.
