Evoqua Acquires US Based Self-Cleaning Water Filtration Company
United
States: Evoqua
Water Technologies along with recently acquired Neptune Benson, have bought VAF
Filtration Systems, a US based company engaged in the production of screen
filtration and automatic, self-cleaning water filtration systems for markets
including water and wastewater, industrial water reuse, cooling towers, river
intake water, seawater, well water, irrigation and groundwater re-injection. In
March, 2016, Evoqua Water
Technologies acquired Neptune Benson, a company involved in the manufacturing
of water filtration and disinfection systems for both industrial as well as
municipal water markets. Post this acquisition, media-free filter
products of VAF
Filtration Systems would be added to Evoqua product portfolio.
TechSci Research depicts that
the acquisition of VAF
Filtration Systems would strengthen Evoqua’s position in the international
water filtration market. Additionally, the acquisition is expected to aid the
expansion of Evoqua’s filtration product portfolio and address the growing
demand for water and wastewater treatment in the United States.
According to the recent
report published by TechSci Research,
“Mobile
Sewage Treatment Systems Market in United States By End User (Residential, Industrial and Commercial),
Competition Forecast and Opportunities, 2011 – 2021”, the market for mobile sewage treatment systems in
the US is projected to reach USD134 million by 2021. Aging waste water
treatment facilities; rising awareness regarding the benefits of these systems;
depleting water resources; implementation of stringent government regulations
on wastewater disposal and discharge; and growing number of gated colonies,
group housing societies as well as individual homes, commercial spaces and
manufacturing industries are anticipated to boost adoption of mobile sewage
treatment systems in the US over the period of next five years.
