Dell launched an initiative “Aarambh” to increase the adoption of PCs for education in India

company has launched ‘Aarambh’ -a pan
India initiative program that aims at spreading the importance of the personal
computer in education sector.
With
this initiative, the company is aiming to engage students, teachers and parents
in a series of activities which helps in building the confidence while using a
PC and to create an encompassing ecosystem. Further, the aim of the project is
to reach a million students and 100 thousand teachers across 5,000 schools in
75 cities in India.
Moreover,
this program will increase the PC penetration in the country by aspiring the
teachers and parents that personal computer technology is essential for studies
and learning new things. This program is in line with government's Digital
India campaign.

Research analyses that by taking the initiative to boost PC adoption in country.
Currently the PC penetration in India is around 9%. After the success of this
program it is expected that Dell India would able to create a positive impact
on the PC usage among students, teachers, and parents. As well, this initiative
by the company would support the parent and teachers’, the child initial
education development and enhance the PC education for educating the students.
