VisionLabs collaborates with Facebook, Google to create an open source computer vision platform
United States: VisionLabs, a solutions developer in
the field of computer vision, robotics and data analytics has created open
source computer vision platform with the help of two IT giants Facebook and
Google. These two companies are providing their support to Vision Labs as they
are fascinated about the study of neural networks and artificial intelligence.
VisionLabs
has collaborated the two libraries for developers; OpenCV -open source computer
vision library and Torch -an open source scientific computing framework. These
two libraries support the machine learning algorithms.
TechSci
Research analyses that with the development of computer vision platform it
would be easy for companies to launch artificial intelligence related products
in lesser number of days as the platform eliminates numerous barriers for
developers.
According
to the recent report by TechSci Research,
“United
States Artificial Intelligence Market By Application (Speech
Recognition, Image Recognition, Cyber Security etc.), By End User (Consumer
Electronics, Security & Access Control etc.), By Region Competition
Forecast & Opportunities, 2011-2021” the
United States artificial intelligence market was in an embryonic phase in 2015.
However, the market has been witnessing rapid developments on account of
growing usage for image and speech recognition in consumer electronic devices
such as smartphones, tablets, smart wearables, smart TV, etc.
The
competitive landscape of the market is highly fragmented as there is a
significant year on year increase in the number of technology start-ups
emerging in this market. These start-ups are majorly backed by angel investors
and venture capitalists.
The
investments in the artificial intelligence applications such as machine
learning, natural language processing, cyber security, robotics, and automation
are registering a sharp increase.
