Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited(BHEL) announces commissioning of 250 MW thermal unit in Maharashtra
India: Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited, a
state-owned enterprise commissioned a 250 MW unit at Paril, Thermal Power Plant
owned by Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGenco). BHEL is a key
player in developing power projects in Maharashtra and have commissioned around
16 GW of power projects in the state till date. BHEL’s 200-270 MW rating class
sets are considered one of the best performing sets developed as per
international standards.

Research depicts that the development of new power projects in Maharashtra will
act as a catalyst in boosting the infrastructure projects in the state. Maharashtra
has a rapidly growing industrial sector and also have major scope for growth for
power sector in rural areas. The development of projects will help in
strengthening of power transmission and distribution network needed for
supplying power to rural and urban population. The development of power
transmission and distribution infrastructure will give a major boost to power
and distribution transformer industry.
