Maxxis launched its maiden runflat tire in Europe
Europe: Automobile tire
giant Maxxis has launched its runflat tire M36+ for the first time in Europe
tire market. The tire is anticipated to be unveiled at the world’s leading tire
fair – REIFEN 2016, in Germany. The M36+ tire is poised to target mid-range
customers in Europe.
As per the company’s managing director of
international sales, Lenny Lee, the company has been supplying M36+ tire in the
replacement tire market of China for last two years. The new product indicates
company’s constant endeavour towards upholding its position as one of the top
ten tire producer in the world.
The M36+ tire is expected to provide smooth ride to
the customers during dry and wet weather conditions. Garnering support from
“advanced bead filler rubber compound”, the M36+ tire generates less heat,
which reduces deformation of tire area. Moreover, the tire offers greater
durability under “zero inflation pressure”. The rubber compound and the tire
design are considered to be two vital pillars of “Maxxis Run-Flat System” which
minimizes heat generation, supports tire durability and integrity and enhances
safety.
As per the company, launch of M36+ would enable its
tire dealers to offer customers with a mid-range runflat tire as option, which
is likely to support its sales in the region. The company expects the
availability of M36+ tire in the UK from May 2016 through its distributor
Stapleton.
According to a recent report published by TechSci Research, “Europe Tyre Market Forecast and
Opportunities, 2019” the European tire market has started to show signs of
recovery after a paltry 2010 and 2011. The tire market in Europe is projected
to grow at a CAGR of over 5% during 2014-19. Passenger vehicle is the
dominating segment in Europe tire sales. However, it is forecast that
commercial vehicle tire market will also grow at a healthy rate due to an
anticipated surge in the construction activities in Europe, especially in
Eastern Europe. Further, Pirelli, Michelin, Kumho, Bridgestone and Continental
are few of the leading tire brands available in the Europe tire market.
As per TechSci Research, launch of M36+ mid-range
runflat tire by the Maxxis is anticipated to support its growth in the Europe tire
market. It is therefore expected that the market share of Maxxis tire would
increase in the Europe tire market over the coming years.
