NIIT to provide training to 20 thousand students on modern technologies

India: Technology ecosystem is witnessing innovation and emergence of new technologies across the world. To cater to the future requirements, NIIT, a technology skill and development organization aims to provide training to 20 thousand students this year.

The organization has planned to launch these new courses on modern technologies from next month across its 150 centers and same will be implemented later in the engineering colleges. These courses would cover Big Data, Internet of Things, robotics, Virtual reality, Java Stack, Cloud, and so on.

The average course duration is 12-14 weeks and course fee starts from INR 25,000.

TechSci Research depicts that with the growing demand of high quality talent on modern technologies, growing technology start-ups, booming cloud, IoT, virtual reality market, and so on; companies such as NIIT are taking initiatives for inclusive growth of the ecosystem. It is projected that in India more than 500K trained engineers in modern technology would be required for the successful implementation of digital transformation projects.

TechSci Research, a market research and consulting firm has recently published report, “India Internet of Things (IoT) Market Forecast and Opportunities, 2020”. According to the report, IoT market in India is projected to grow at a CAGR over 28% during 2015- 2020. IoT is being rapidly brought into use across diverse industry verticals to reduce operational and manpower costs, and increase operational efficiency. Consumer electronics, automotive & transportation, BFSI, home & building, energy & utilities, retail, supply chain & logistic sectors, and manufacturing are the key emerging application areas where IoT technology is majorly being adopted. With growing need for connectivity among devices, systems and services using variety of protocols and domains; automating business processes; and real-time monitoring & tracking of services and systems, Internet of Things (IoT) technology has been gaining increasing market traction over the last few years.
