This kind of prolonged heat expands the practical need for air conditioners, ventilation systems, and more efficient cooling technologies, and it also helps explain why major companies have continued to scale capacity and distribution to meet demand from a country where indoor comfort, health protection, and productivity are becoming more climate dependent with every summer.

For instance, Voltas said it became the first brand in India to cross 2 million AC unit sales in FY2024 with annual volume growth of 35 percent and a year to date room AC market share of 18.7 percent, a strong signal that more intense heat conditions are directly translating into higher HVAC adoption at scale.

For instance, Blue Star said it invested Rs 143 crore in FY2024 including capital expenditure of Rs 94 crore on contemporary design and test facilities and established a new innovation centre at Bhiwandi for heat pumps and VRF, showing how major manufacturers are investing ahead of stricter green building and energy efficiency expectations in India.
